This procedure describes how to update UM/Mybox version 7.x or higher.

For ALL versions:

Take a backup of the DB prior to the update

If there are users connecting to Mybox for Recipe, you should warn them for a downtime of 15-30 minutes during the update.
You must run the update on the SERVER on which Unified Messaging/Mybox is running.

If you are using a ssl-connexion, you need to stop de service Unified-Messaging before running the update.

 

The version of UM/Mybox is written at the bottom of the login-page.

If you are notified of a pending update while logged on to the Mybox-interface, follow these steps.

If you want to update UM/Mybox without logging on to the Mybox-interface, follow these steps.

Update UM/Mybox via Mybox-notification

 

 


  1. When an update for Mybox is available, a notification appears in the top section of Mybox:

    Click this link to be redirected to the Settings-page of Mybox.
    Scroll down the Settings-page. In the item ‘Updates’, click ‘edit’:



  2. The installer of the available version is located on the filesystem, in the indicated folder:



  3. Open Explorer, locate the installer (check the version number) and run it.
    If you connect to the database via Integrated Security, you must run the installer with the correct AD-user.
    1. If you are unsure, check the connection string in C:\Program Files\unified-messaging\application.properties
    2. If you don’t know the correct AD-user, check the DBOwner of the database of Mybox.




4. The installer will check netwerk- and databaseparameters. In case of errors during this check, you can find the general requirements here:

Update UM/Mybox via installer

  • run the installer https://download.healthconnect.be/products/unified-messaging/slow-ring
    • If you are using a ssl-connexion, you need to stop de service Unified-Messaging before running the update.
      If you connect to the database via Integrated Security, you must run the installer with the correct AD-user.
      1. If you are unsure, check the connection string in C:\Program Files\unified-messaging\application.properties
      2. If you don’t know the correct AD-user, check the DBOwner of the database of Mybox
